A firewall engineer is responsible for providing architectural expertise in the planning, designing and implementing of network firewalls, application firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems and virtual private network software/hardware.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, communicate well, be very organized, provide great follow-up and have excellent customer support skills.
