And I didn't realize it until I came back to HN and read your comment. Now I'm noticing the little "swipe sideways" animation (or whatever that's called), but I think it's too easy to miss. At least, it was for me, on mobile. That said, now that I know how it works, it works well, and looks great.

When I move the slider, I see the banding disappear from the sky (as expected), but then I also see banding appear in the sand below it. Safari on iPhone 13 Pro, FWIW. Is anyone else seeing it?

Interesting. On a MacBook Pro M1, the banding disappears from both.

Are you sure you're not somehow mixing up the Before and After pictures? I see definite banding on the sand in the before picture but not the after one.

Same, on an iPhone 13 Pro in Safari. It’s very pronounced in both sky and sand in the “before” image.
