I develop things for iOS devices. So I gotta pay the Apple Tax.

Enjoying my M1 though, and I like the *nixy bits of OSX so it’s an okay compromise.

Someone offline stack overflow for me before I paste half our source into it.

Agree with the author btw, just like the idea of taking it to a really far fetched conclusion.

Hey man, I saw no PRs at the minute but I wanted to play on the train with save/restore so I knocked out a quick Cordova wrapper.

It’s here; https://github.com/jamescodesthings/devShop-cordova

If you do go commercial and want a hand modifying to get into app stores feel free to reach out and use whatever you see

What’s your alternative tracking mechanism? And what does it report?

Truth is you might be so good because you’re not at scale, they may be looking to scale you up which is great... you just have to get them the numbers.

Jira as a tool sucks dicks for pennies (trust me i’ve seen it)

Jira is however customisable as fuck, so if you’re being forced into it then get admin! Stick to a simple workflow, basic practices. Jira falls short with the amount of munging people do to it, at the minute my team has a 9 column board with 5+ projects on it... that’s not how it’s meant to be done and it drags time out of my day.

So by all means if you’re tracking already, demonstrate that (as long as it’s not a damn spreadsheet). If you can’t get them what they need then question why Jira. If you have to use it then get admin and make the tool work for your current process.
