Very interesting paper. I can see street-view using it to perfect the 3D analysing of the photo-video they catch with there google-car. What a wonderfull time we are living in ! Specificaly in the Video to 3D reconstruction. Every month, a new brick is put in place.Super

Street View cars added Velodyne LiDAR around 2017 [0][1], but it's optional. I found no data on 'LiDAR vs image only'-percentage.

It's safe to assume street view cars capture way more data than the stuff that ends up on the street view product.

Waymo recently announced[1] a World Model that does exactly this: using footage from a single-camera dashcam, it can predict/simulate multiple inputs that would have been sensed by a Waymo vehicle on the same travel path (i.e. multiple camera angles, Lidar cloud, etc). On top of this, the model can be prompted to customize the scenario (adding an elephants or a tornado were the example given)

Nocode transform: From 30 photos --> FPS video game.

Example : https://shorturl.at/We3dH

GS is really the technology on the hype ! It's a rupture to 3D triangle display and tools. Could be an issue. But so nice and easy to create from photos!

Lovely. Of only they could make some in todays's world of new cars....

Indoor walking as à FPF game. Works on any device, even smartohones. Light as feather. https://free-visit.net

I'm not a kid. I still want it !

Same. It's a solid four-note ARP that sticks to a fixed set of musical keys. You literally can't make bad sounding music with this.

A more grown-up version of this would be 16 notes, with variable length patterns (4-16?), and a "swing" function. A little bit of I/O mux under the hood and I bet this design could be expanded in that way. Or maybe you just daisy-chain multiple sequencers?

This ends at Eurorack.

It _all_ ends at eurorack. Especially my bank account.

Can I know on what device you are using ? Smartphone or PC ? Mac ? What model ? (thanks)

It's funny. My side job was to try to make a virtual visit builder. Until I discovered yesterday that I had done the lightest FPS game player. Funny !

How does this compare to .kkrieger, the 96k FPS?

1) I think .kkrieger was a one stop demo dating from 2004. free-visit is is web and smartphone compliant. https://ibb.co/wrwp17Vp

2) 3D-Editor : It also has a 3D Editor that transform a serie of 30 photos into an FPS. https://ibb.co/FC9Hzj2

I wanted to give anyone the magic power to make himself an FPS game of their place (appart, museum,ect...). Still not perfect but it's light and my 3D editor is simple enough for anyone. - No coding. - And no need for Unity or Unreal.

==> Here is a photo of the Editor : https://ibb.co/FC9Hzj2

==> website with an example of a FPS visit https://free-visit.net

Please be honest, tell me why I don't have traction.

This is a cool idea! So I think, unfortunately, you are competing with automated tools like https://poly.cam/ My cousin-in-law produces music videos, and he'll take a polycam of sports cars (or even people!) and add them to his videos, it's powerful and instantaneous. No 2-3 day wait time.

It's great that you're working on this. If you want to continue on this, I'd consider: - Cleaning up the design of the website-- it looks kind of crappy. Get an AI agent to clean it up for you, it's better to look like "generic professional website" rather than "crappy amateur". - Use the more common words for creating 3d models. A "Visit" sounds like an experience, but what you're really making is a "scene", or a "spatial capture", or a "floor plan". - Maybe try to figure out a niche. Is your niche that people can edit this the 3d object afterwards? Or is the niche integration with video games? You gotta find something that doesn't directly compete with polycam.

Thank you civilian for your answer and hints. It's funny I though matterport was more like me. Because both of us make " virtual reality".

I think You are right It's a bit idiotic from me to be cautious and say 'result in 3 days'. I could say 4 Hours now.

And yes. It's not 100% automatic. I agree, my low point.
