Hello everyone!
Lately I have felt that I need to be doing more to "give back" to the world. I would like to see if there are software development jobs that have a more direct impact on truly helping people. There is of course volunteer work, but I would like to try pursue this in my day-to-day work.
Some examples of the kind of work I am thinking about:
- Software-controlled hydroponics and "food computers".
- Projects like freerice.com that require technical assistance.
- Creating, extending and maintaining the software systems that enable humanitarian efforts.
- Working on biology simulation to accelerate drug discovery.
Is anyone aware of any openings of this kind?
