My sister and I were both in gifted programs, back in the late 80's and early 90's. Neither of our lives turned out the way we expected. We also have a few gifted friends, some who have severe mental illness or drug addiction. Though most quite lead very ordinary lives, I know none of who achieved anything incredibly extraordinary.
