Anecdotally, here in Nebraska my residential fiber connection remains 1gbps symmetric. Haven't seen any fluctuations at all over the last few weeks. Living in less densely populated areas does have its advantages at times.

Likewise, in St Louis on AT&T Gigabit fiber. There have been many outages with Spectrum cable though.
