Taking small children on a boat hundreds of miles from the nearest hospital is, frankly, a lot more dangerous than people realize. I'm not saying it's not doable, but those people are taking way more risk than I'd be comfortable with.

Yeah, I agree. I'm glad that family switched to a trawler, which rules out ocean crossings. They probably stick close to the coast now; maybe spend some time doing the Great Loop.
