So you're saying people are moving to places for jobs, but they also are unemployed and the "socialists" are mean because they want to afford a basic human need without spending 80% of their min wage allowance ?
I can't even tell if you're memeing or not so I'll leave it at that. If you're not trolling you should spend less times on the internet, it would do you good, you sound like an alt right twitter account stuck on loop
I live in Berlin, too. The argument is "but people need to live here because of the jobs" - but if they move here because of the jobs, the jobs are obviously paying enough. The people who want the government to pay their rent now don't have jobs, so the logic doesn't apply.
The social security allowance is the same everywhere in Germany, and actually it is "rent+health insurance+extra" so it even adapts to the rent. The "basic need" is covered and they could live in a cheaper place with no issue whatsoever. In fact they are driving up the prices for people who actually have jobs here in Berlin.
You know fully well that nobody in Germany needs to go homeless. No German citizens anyway. The homeless you see mostly have mental health issues or are illegal immigrants who can't apply for social security. More could be done to help, to be sure, but the issue is not high rents.
Socialists are mean because they want to steal other people's property (and often also murder them). The "afford a basic human need" thing is just a smoke screen, as there is enough space to live in Germany.
And if you want them to afford the basic human need to live in central Berlin, then the question again becomes, who will be entitled to do so? Socialists never answer that. Since it will not be the people who actually pay for it (meaning they somehow earned money, hopefully by providing something useful to other people), it will be the people who are elected to the socialist parties and their cronies.
I don't see why "being a political activist" should entitle you to a better home than doing actual productive work, earning money and paying for your home. That's just my feeling of justice and entitlement.
And the buck really stops when socialists start using hate speech ("parasitic landlords") for their agenda. You live in Berlin, you know how it all turned out a couple of decades ago.
