Considering 60% of the federal budget is social spending, I’m not sure I buy that socialism never took root.


Government spending on social issues is not socialism. Socialism is when workers own their means of production.


The largest group of shareholders in any company out there are retirement and pension funds.

Take Google for instance. Top ten largest holders are literally all retirement and pension funds. The workers do own the means of production today.
