Not the first time and it won't be the last. Because it's forbidden for pilots to smoke in the cockpit there are no longer established procedures & checklists for safe cockpit smoking.

You can still find ash trays in the bathroom for safety because passengers are fallible and nicotine is one hell of a drug. The same is true of pilots; ashtrays should never have been removed from cockpits.
