My electricity cost is $.09922/KWH while my natural gas cost is ~$1.29/therm. While I forget my energy conversion equations, overall electricity is significantly cheaper in the PacNW. I can't view this as "electrification for electrification's sake". Over time, there is a clear cost-winner and by extension, climate-friendly winner.
Heat pumps are common in the PacNW, despite colder temperatures during the winter months.
