You should never be responsible for what you don't control (alexewerlof.com)

Responsibility and control are commensurate.

The question is, what is it to be?

Growing-up and maturing means taking control, and therefore taking responsibility of things. But I see a world of people keen to avoid responsibility, and give up control in order to get there. A lot of digital technology seems designed to help with that quest to abandon responsibility rather than to gain it.

" Technology is a way of organising the universe so that man doesn't have to experience it." -- Max Frisch

"control" is a delusion of self deceiving minds. Authority to act is as close as one may find.

And yet you still keep control of your bowels, do you not?

You've never had diarrhea?

Exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. You think you have it until you are undeceived.

> never had diarrhea?

I've heard a lot around here.

Responsibility and authority should be in equal measures.
