The Galaxy must be new. In my experience Android phones get extremely laggy [1] as they get old and the 120 Hz refresh won't save you :)
I just noticed that I don't really try to follow the screen when I scroll down HN, for example. Yes it's blurry but I seem not to care.

It has no personal stuff on it, it's only used to test apps that I work on, and even that isn't my main job (nothing since early spring this year for example). It was very smooth when I bought it, now it takes 5+ seconds to start any application on it and they stutter.
