Yifi is a native macOS menu bar app with a minimal, always-on footprint that monitors your network health in real time. It breaks your connection into clear, actionable segments so you can quickly pinpoint where issues begin, whether that’s your Wi-Fi signal, router, ISP, or DNS.

I built Yifi because I kept wanting a simple way to understand why my internet randomly slows down or drops out. We’re entering an era where personal software can be created on demand, and this is my small proof of that. The app was built entirely with Claude Code (Opus 4.6) in XCode 26.3, in about an hour, with no prior experience in Swift, iOS, or macOS development.
