We've officially hit peak "the Internet is terrible".
Whenever I see rants like this I immediately look for what the author's solution is. In this case it's "why hasn't someone come up with a solution yet?"
I don't know what the answer is. I will admit I do consume a lot of free (as in beer) content on the Internet all the time. When I realized BuzzFeed was just clickbait years ago I ... stopped going there. You have that option.
